On April 30, 2019 the meeting to hear reports and
elect new officials of the Trade Union Committee of Constitutional Court was
held.
Having opened the meeting, Chairman of Constitutional
Court Farhad Abdullayev said that after the independence of the Republic of
Azerbaijan, a new stage began in the development of trade union organizations. He
also noted that the national leader Heydar Aliyev has repeatedly stressed the
special role of these organizations in protecting the legitimate interests of
citizens, labour rights and solving their social problems. The President of the
Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, continued this policy, a number of
large-scale measures are being implemented to ensure, improve the well-being of
the population of the country, solve the problem of employment, as well as
strengthen the mechanism of social protection of low-income families and create
social infrastructure.
Then the Chairman of the Trade Union of Employees of
State Institutions and Public Services of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmet
Osmanov delivered the greetings of the Chairman of the Confederation Sattar
Makhbaliyev to the participants of the meeting and stressed the importance of
further strengthening of this activity in the future.
The Chairman of Constitutional Court noted the
effectiveness of the work of the Court with the Confederation of Trade Unions
of Azerbaijan, touched upon the issues of holding of events and proposed to
consider the issue of changing the composition of the Trade Union Committee of Constitutional
Court, election of Chairman and new members of the Committee.
The proposals were put to a vote and adopted
unanimously.
Chairman Farhad Abdullayev wished success in the
future activities of the Trade Union Committee of Constitutional Court.
