2014-10-09 Azerbaijan’s Constitutional court signs cooperation deal with Kyrgyz Constitutional Chamber

The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan and the Constitutional Chamber of the Kyrgyz Supreme Court have signed a memorandum on cooperation in Baku.
The memorandum was inked by chairman of the Azerbaijani Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev and chairman of the Kyrgyz Constitutional Chamber Mukambet Kasimaliyev.
Speaking to the signing ceremony, Mr. Abdullayev praised Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz relations as “rapidly developing in a variety of fields, including legal area”. He hailed the memorandum as “an expression of our will and desire for closer cooperation in the judicial area”.
Mr. Abdullayev said: “Azerbaijan is resolutely moving forward on the path of democratic development. Ensuring economic, social and intellectual development is among key priorities for the Azerbaijani government.”
He highlighted reforms carried out in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, saying the country has become “a model for regional countries in terms of economic, social and cultural areas”.
Mr. Kasimaliyev described the memorandum as “a strong sign of the development of our bilateral cooperation”. “The experience of Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court is highly valuable for us.”
He recalled Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev’s visit to Azerbaijan in 2012, saying it “opened a new chapter in the history of the two countries` relations in all areas, particularly legal one.”
