Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullayev has met Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia Janedjri Gaffar.
Abdullayev hailed rapid development of relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia in a number of fields, including legal area. He recalled his ‘fruitful’ meetings at the Indonesian Constitutional Court in 2013, where the Memorandum of Understanding was signed.
Noting the dynamic development of Azerbaijan in recent years, Abdullayev said “this development has been achieved thanks to national leader Heydar Aliyev`s far-sighted policy, which is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.”
Abdullayev said justice authorities bear great responsibility in modern society, adding “from this point of view development of our cooperation and exchange of experience are important.”
Janedjri Gaffar, in turn, stressed the importance of his Azerbaijan trip and meetings at the Constitutional Court, adding the Indonesian Constitutional Court was interested in continuing cooperation under the MoU signed in 2013. He also noted the significance of exchange of experience and cooperation in terms of development of ties between the constitutional courts of the two countries.
