On 29-30 July 2011 Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Sona Salmanova attended the International Conference on “Classical and Modern Trends in Constitutional Review” which was held in Sofia. The Conference was dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria.
During the conference Mrs. Sona Salmanova made a presentation on the "Modern trends in relations between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the courts of general jurisdiction".
During the event there were presented some reports concerning the practice of constitutional review in European countries, system of constitutional justice as well as held discussions on the role of emerging trends in the development of constitutional review.
