As it is known, by order of
the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated January 5, 2022,
the current year was declared the "Year of the city of Shusha" in our
country. The staff of the Constitutional Court today is located in the city of
Shusha and feels great pride in this. We decided to announce today 3 important
decisions adopted at the Plenum of the Constitutional Court, in the cultural
capital of Azerbaijan - the city of Shusha. These decisions, which are
extremely important to us, will be translated into various languages and
sent to the constitutional bodies of all countries of the world.
Chairman of the
Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farhad Abdullayev,
expressed this opinion in an interview during a visit to Shusha on July 14, on
the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Court.
"The liberation of the cultural
capital of Azerbaijan - the city of Shusha is very important for us," said
the chairman of the Constitutional Court. He noted that in the 44-day Patriotic
War, thanks to the special dedication and military talent of the President, the
victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, as well as the heroism of
the valiant Azerbaijani army, our lands, which were under occupation for 30
years, were liberated.
"The city of Shusha is the center of Karabakh. Therefore, today we
are the entire team of the Constitutional Court taking part in this event. We
were lucky enough to visit our native lands today. The restoration of the legal
force of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the lands liberated
from occupation is of great importance for us”, Farhad Abdullayev emphasized.
