On June 24, 2022 by the
invitation of the President of the European Court of Human Rights Robert Spano,
the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farhad
Abdullayev visited Strasbourg, France to participate in the Judicial Seminar on
"Protection of Human Rights in a Pandemic: New Challenges and New
Prospects".
The Judicial Seminar heard
reports and discussions on restrictions on human rights in the member states of
the Council of Europe during the pandemic, the positive obligations of states
during the pandemic, proceedings in national courts and other legal issues.
During the visit, meetings were held with the chairmen of Constitutional
Courts of a number of European countries and judges of the European Court and
practical issues of mutual judicial cooperation were discussed.
