On May 7, an event dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the
birth of the national leader of our people, the architect and creator of the
modern independent Azerbaijani state, the author of the first national
Constitution, Heydar Aliyev, took place in the Constitutional Court in
compliance with the rules of the special quarantine regime, with the
participation of judges and a number of Staff of the Office of Constitutional
Court.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of
Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev spoke about the worthy path of life of
the great leader Heydar Aliyev, about his multifaceted activities, liberation
mission, invaluable merits to the Azerbaijani people.
It was noted that the preparation and adoption
of the first national Constitution of modern Azerbaijan, as well as the
development of ideas of constitutionalism in our country, is directly related
to the name of the architect and creator of independent Azerbaijan Heydar
Aliyev. The great leader Heydar Aliyev, as the author of the Basic Law,
achieved the separation of state power on the basis of democratic principles,
the creation of a new legal framework, the development of the foundations of
civil society.
It was brought to attention that the
Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established on 14 July
1998 to ensure the supremacy of the Constitution. The establishment of the Constitutional
Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan is directly related to the name of Heydar
Aliyev.
As a result of the implementation of the state
policy of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, today under the leadership of the
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the important reforms
carried out in the Republic on the basis of progressive world values have made
it possible to achieve sustainable social and political stability, to ensure
the rule of law, as well as to form a civil society, which provides guarantees
for the protection of human rights and freedoms.
The Chairman noted that at the instruction of
the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the country were
taken all necessary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection
(COVID-19), as well as to ensure the protection of public health. According to
the instructions of the Head of State, as a result of urgent measures aimed at
the well-being of the people, our country, unlike most countries, has managed
to avoid a social and economic crisis.
In conclusion, Farhad Abdullayev gave information about the online scientific and theoretical conference held on May 5, dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, on the topic “Modern theoretical and practical approaches in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms in the XXI century”. It was said that a collection of articles will be published on the basis of the proceedings of the conference.
