The delegation headed by the Chairman of the
Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Farhad Abdullaev
visited Strasbourg, France for the participation in the international judicial-legal
seminar as well as the official events marking the opening of the 2020th
judicial year of the European Court of Human Rights.
At an international seminar with participation of presidents
and judges of the European Court of Human Rights and the constitutional and
supreme courts of European countries were made presentations on gender
equality, the right to enjoy social privileges, science and technology, the
preservation of personal information, biotechnologies and other legal issues. The
President of the European Court Linos-Alexandre
Sicilianos presented an overview of the decisions adopted by the
European Court in 2019.
During the visit,
meetings were held with the presidents of constitutional courts of a number of
countries, and an exchange of views on legal issues was held.
