On May 23, in the Constitutional Court of the Republic
of Azerbaijan was held a meeting with the delegation headed by the Vice
President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of
Legislation and Comparative Law of the Russian Federation, Academician Taliya
Khabriyeva.
Expressing satisfaction with the visit of the
delegation to Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad
Abdullayev mentioned the importance of fruitful meetings within the framework
of the visit for the development of scientific cooperation between our
countries.
Speaking to the guests about the activity of the
Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farhad Abdullayev said that
large-scale judicial and legal reforms began immediately after the adoption of
the first Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1995 on the initiative
and authorship of the great leader Heydar Aliyev. Three years after the
adoption of the Constitution - in 1998, by the Decree of the National Leader
Heydar Aliyev, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan was
formed and began its activity taking into account the progressive international
experience in this field.
Chairman emphasized that Constitutional Court is
focused on citizens' complaints and other appeals to the Constitutional Court
based on the priority of the policy of the President Ilham Aliyev - the
principle of "everything for the people, everything for the men",
which successfully continues the political line of the great leader Heydar
Aliyev.
Talia Khabriyeva, head of the delegation, director of
the Institute for Legislation and Comparative Law, underlined the great
importance of the meeting. The guest mentioned the importance of exchanging
experience in the legal field between our countries, noting that the
traditional ties in science are a good basis for the development of cooperation.
Taliya Khabriyeva recalled her recent meeting with the President of the Republic
of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with pleasant impressions.
Giving detailed information about the activities of
the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law of the Russian Federation, the
guest noted that the constitutional systems of our countries are similar. The
guests expressed their gratitude to the Chairman of the Constitutional Court
Farhad Abdullayev for the high hospitality and detailed information and
expressed satisfaction with the rapid development of Azerbaijan and the beauty
of our country.
Referring to the achievements of Russian science in
recent years, Chairman Farhad Abdullayev said that there are good opportunities
for successful development of scientific relations between our countries,
expanding contacts and joint projects.
After the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the
administrative building of the Constitutional Court.
