Chairman of the
Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullayev has today met Nicaraguan
Minister of Foreign Affairs Samuel Santos Lopez.
Abdullayev noted
the importance of expanding Azerbaijan-Nicaragua relations on all fronts, as
well as bilateral cooperation in legal sphere.
He said Azerbaijan
was one of the most rapidly developing countries, and noted that the country
attached great importance to cooperation with foreign countries.
Abdullayev also gave information about the Constitutional Court of the Republic
of Azerbaijan, as well as the Court’s international relations.
The chairman said
the Constitutional Court adopted an important decision on June 30.
Under the decision, the national law is connected with the international law in
modern society.
Santos Lopez expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan and noted he
held a number of important meetings in the country.
He especially
praised the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The Nicaraguan
Minister noted the importance of cooperation between the judicial bodies of the
two countries.
He highlighted
favorable opportunities for expanding bilateral ties between the two countries
in political, economic and other spheres.
Lopez said such
reciprocal visits would serve to the expansion of bilateral ties, and hailed
ongoing rapid development process in Azerbaijan.
Nicaraguan
Ambassador to Iran Mario Barquero was also present at the meeting.
