Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev met Wednesday with Ambassador Koray Tarqay, the Head of the OSCE Office in Baku.
According to the Constitutional Court, Farhad Abdullayev welcomed the ambassador and spoke about the significance of strengthening the relations with OSCE in improvement of justice and modernization of the judicial system.
During the past 14 years, the plenum of the Constitutional Court tried in its decisions to follow the principles of the Constitution of Azerbaijan. These decisions are used by other courts and authorities, and contribute greatly to the successful judicial reforms.
The ambassador said that OSCE office in Baku is interested in legal cooperation with courts, as well as the Constitutional Court. The diplomat pointed out the training organized for judges and court employees create opportunities to become familiar with the European Court`s best practices.
Targay suggested the participation of OSCE experts in 15th anniversary of the Constitutional Court.
