On
September 26, the Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court Farhad
Abdullayev met Friday with Turkey`s Minister of Justice Mehmet Ali Shahin in
Baku.
Mr.
Abdullayev stressed the importance of enhancing friendly and fraternal
relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
He also briefed the Turkish Minister on successful results of judicial/legal
reforms carried out in his country.
According
to him, the understanding memorandum signed between the two countries`
Constitutional Courts is an evidence of expansion of bilateral relationships.
Mr. Mehmet Ali Shahin, in turn, expressed his confidence the Turkish
delegation`s current visit to Baku would contribute to deepening cooperation
between the two countries` judicial bodies. He also praised successful
judicial/legal reforms carried out in Azerbaijan.
The meeting also discussed other issues of mutual
interest. Turkey’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic were also
present in the meeting.
