On September 17, the Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev met with the head of PACE Special Committee`s pre-election observation mission on Azerbaijan Andreas Herkel and his accompanied delegation.
Mr. Abdullayev underlined that employees of the Constitutional Court participate in the electoral process as observers. In accordance with the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic, the Constitutional Court takes part in the electoral process after the Central Electoral Commission presents the results of the elections, said Mr. Abdullayev.
Mr. Herkel thanked for the detailed information and told of his mission`s activity. The sides also exchanged views on the upcoming October 15 Presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
