On September 12, 2025, the International Forum “Peace
and the Future through Law” was held, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the
adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the opening of the event, the Chairperson of
the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ms. Elvira Azimova
addressed the guests with a welcoming speech.
The forum was attended by heads of state bodies of
Kazakhstan, as well as judges of constitutional justice bodies of Turkey,
Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Korea, Bulgaria and other countries, representatives of
the Council of Europe, OSCE and other international organizations.
The event featured presentations on the experience of
Constitutional Courts and an exchange of views in sessions on the topics of
"Maintaining Law and Order as the Foundation of Peace: Respect for Human
Rights and State Stability," "Pragmatism of the Legislator and
Responsible Application of the Law: Ensuring Trust and Effectiveness," and
"Constitutional Identity and the Legal Environment: Educating Future
Generations."
Also, in connection with the 30th anniversary of the
Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the Constitutional
Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullayev, on the proposal of the
Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.Azimova,
by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
No. 978 was awarded the medal "30 years of the Constitution of the
Republic of Kazakhstan."
During the visit, the Forum participants got
acquainted with the activities of the Archive of the President of the Republic
of Kazakhstan and visited the new administrative building of the Constitutional
Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan was represented at the event by Judge Rauf Guliyev.
