At the invitation of the Chairman of the
Constitutional Court of Korea, Lee Jongseok, a delegation led by the Deputy
Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Sona Salmanova, visited Seoul.
The purpose of the trip was to participate in the 4th
Research Conference of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and
Equivalent Institutions, held on the topic "Constitutional Rights and the
Environment."
The conference presented and discussed the reports of
the participating countries regarding the implementation of constitutional
control over environmental legislation, important court decisions and topical
legal issues in this area.
The delegation of the Constitutional Court spoke on
the topic “Constitutional control and means of protection in Azerbaijan”.
During the visit,
business meetings were held with judges of the Constitutional Courts of a
number of states participating in the Conference and Staff employers, as well
as an exchange of views on legal issues devoted to judicial practice on
environmental legislation and mutual judicial and legal cooperation.
