On April 30, a meeting was held at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a delegation headed by the Chairman of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye (TIHEK) Muharrem Kılıç, who is on a visit to our country.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev noted that the words of the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk said, "Azerbaijan's joy is our joy, and its sorrow is ours too." and the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev said, " Türkiye and Azerbaijan are one nation in two states." personify the national and spiritual wealth of our peoples.

Chairman emphasized that relations between the two fraternal states are constantly developing as a result of the successful policies pursued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The brotherhood between our countries is unbreakable. The strategic cooperation of these two countries, which have enormous geopolitical and economic potential, is aimed at ensuring peace and security, as well as further strengthening the economic development of the region. Relations built on the basis of high-level cooperation are constantly strengthening.

It was noted that legal cooperation between the two countries is developing successfully. Courts also facilitate this cooperation. The study of judicial experience and the exchange of views on topical legal issues are very important for the practical activities of judicial and legal institutions.

Chairman Farhad Abdullayev also informed the guest about the cooperation between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the institution of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in the field of ensuring human rights.

Chairman of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye, Muharrem Kılıç expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev for the hospitality. He noted that close cooperation between our countries in all areas, including between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye, is successfully developing on the basis of mutual support and cooperation.

At the meeting, an exchange of views took place and legal issues were discussed.
