The delegation headed by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Farhad Abdullaev visited the city of Strasbourg, France by the invitation of the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Mr. Guido Raimondi for the participation in the International Seminar on “Strengthening Confidence in the Judiciary”" as well as the European Court of Human Rights, for the participation in official event devoted to the opening of its judicial year for 2019 which took place on 23 -26 January 2019.
The presentations on the theme of relationship between the European Court of Human Rights and national courts, applications of case law of the European Court of Human Rights by national courts were heard as well as exchange of views on other questions took place.
During the visit, meetings were held with the Presidents of the Constitutional courts of the European countries and Judges of the European Court of Human Rights, as well as practical issues of mutual legal cooperation were discussed.
