On February 17, 2016 the Chamber of the
Constitutional Court adopted ruling on the application of Khatai District Court
alleged contradictions between the part of articles 70 “c”, 72 and 79 of the
Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The ruling noted that in accordance
with the part “c” of Article 70 of the Labour Code of the Republic of
Azerbaijan. if the employee fails to fulfill job duties and its
obligations under the employment contract or the circumstances enumerated in
Article 72 this Code breached labor duties, the employer can cancel
the employment contract
