On May 5 on occasion of the 100^th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, a photo exhibition reflecting the rich legacy of the Great Leader was organized in the Constitutional Court within the framework of the series of events carried out in connection with the declaration of 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev".

At the beginning of the event, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev spoke about the meaningful life path and democratic-legal state-building activities of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern Azerbaijan state, the world-famous political figure, his unparalleled services to our people and our state, his rescue mission, the steps he took for the comprehensive development of our republic, and his wise and visionary policy.

It was noted that National Leader Heydar Aliyev always thought of the welfare of the people of Azerbaijan and won endless love in hearts and eternal life in memories. Our independence became eternal and irreversible precisely as a result of the Great Leader's return to power. The greatness of the works done by the Great Leader, who was bound by immense love for his homeland and people and dedicated his whole meaningful life to the service of his state, is understood more deeply with the passage of time and every Azerbaijani respects the personality of genius Heydar Aliyev and the valuable legacy he left with great respect and reverence.

It was emphasized that the Great Leader, who played an important role in the social and political life of the Azerbaijani people, rendered invaluable services in the creation of traditions of statehood and thus wrote his name in golden letters in the history of Azerbaijan. On the eve of the 100^th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, his services to the people and the state of Azerbaijan are widely celebrated in all parts of our country and at the same time outside its borders. From the point of view of studying the life and activities of Heydar Aliyev, the architect of the independent state of Azerbaijan, holding such events is of great importance.

It was informed that in connection with the 100^th anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev's birth, the Constitutional Court, in its turn, carried out a series of measures, including a number of articles written by the judges of the Constitutional Court and the staff of the Administrative Office and dedicated to the multifaceted activities of the Great Leader were published in various media.

The Chairman noted that today the line of legal and democratic state building of National Leader Heydar Aliyev is being successfully continued by the Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev in accordance with the requirements of the new era. Based on the ideas of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, our rapidly developing state is experiencing a very powerful period under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the liberation of our lands from occupation and the restoration of our territorial integrity have been written down in history as the most important and significant events of our independent statehood. The 44-day-long Patriotic War became a source of pride for the Azerbaijani people, and the historical Victory was the embodiment of national consciousness, the unity of the people and the army.

As a result of the glorious Victory, the legal force of the Basic Law of our state was restored in our lands freed from occupation and at the same time, the ground was created for the restoration of a number of constitutional rights of our citizens.

In the end, it was emphasized that today, Azerbaijan, as an active participant in global processes, is an equal member of the world community, a state with the word, and due to the personal influence, determination, political will, and successful domestic and foreign policy of the Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev, great and serious work has been done and is being done to achieve such high achievements. Under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the state and people of Azerbaijan will continue to achieve historical achievements. The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in turn, will continue to contribute to the protection of the supremacy of the Basic Law, human rights and freedoms, as well as the ideals of justice, the author of which was Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.
