On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of
the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, the legal Olympiad "Heydar
Aliyev and the legal state" was held at the Faculty of Turkish World
Economics of the Azerbaijan State Economic University with the joint
organization of the Constitutional Court, the Ministry of Science and
Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The Olympiad was also attended by
students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Baku Slavic
University, undergoing practice in the Constitutional Court of the Republic of
Azerbaijan.
Responsible employees of the Administrative Office of
Constitutional Court, responsible representatives of the Ministry of Science
and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Youth and Sports
of the Republic of Azerbaijan, teachers and students of the Faculty of Turkish
World Economics of the Azerbaijan State Economic University participated in the
event organized in connection with the announcement of the results of the Law
Olympiad.
At the event, the National Anthems of the Republics of
Azerbaijan and Turkey were played, and the memory of our martyrs who died for
the Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence.
The dean of the Faculty of Turkish World Economics of
the Azerbaijan State Economic University, professor Dr. Mehmet Yüce, the
teachers of that faculty, Nariman Khanahmadov, Imangulu Muradzade, made a
speech to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar
Aliyev, the founder of the independent State of Azerbaijan, the great leader of
our nation and emphasizing that the establishment of democratic values and the
start of the legal, secular state-building process in Azerbaijan is connected
with the name of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, they noted that the fundamental
reforms implemented by the Great Leader not only put our republic on the path
of development, but also created conditions for the preparation and adoption of
the first national Constitution.
The speakers stated that the new Constitution,
prepared under the direct leadership of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, defined
the foundations of the state structure and declared that the people should be
the only source of state power and emphasized that the basis of the
strengthening of our national statehood, the progressive legal reforms
implemented in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms is related
exactly to the name of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The head of the
Constitutional Law Department of the Constitutional Court Durdana Mammadova,
conveyed the congratulations of the Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad
Abdullayev to the event participants and announced the results of the Olympiad.
According to the results of the Olympiad, diplomas and gifts provided by the
Constitutional Court were awarded to 14 students who scored high points.
